A website should be designed keeping in mind the purpose it needs to serve (the need of the customers) and the goal of the company. There are many steps included in designing a successful web site, but it can turn into negative if some common mistakes are not taken care of. In every step utmost care must be taken so as to eliminate the loopholes and come up with an exceptional and interactive interface in the form of a website. We at Orlando make sure that the end product is interactive and beneficial to the customers while reducing the loopholes. Some of the mistakes that must be avoided while designing a website are:

1. First impression is the last impression – Most of the websites fail due to lack of proper information. It can be due to many reasons like website being outdated; information is not updated regularly etc. Website must be able to put a professional mark on the customer and be able to sneak through their competitors. Poor designs will lead to poor retention of customers who visit once.

2. Being interactive – A vital mistake while designing a website is assuming that one does not need to talk to the users. Most of the websites have a few or no copy on their WebPages. Every product and services needs to be properly addressed in the website. It may be wrong from ones part to assume that the customer is going to make a purchase from the website. A website must on its part be able to make informed decision with the website copy. A website in order to be successful needs to persuade its customers but in a polite manner.

3. Size of the Web page – A website which takes longer than usual will loose its customer. In order to make the webpage work faster it must be properly optimized to yield maximum outcome. A customer would hate to wait long for a website to open.

4. Glittery Ads – Most of the website put these flashy glittering ads on their web page. But little they realize that once a customer clicks on them he/she is deviated from their webpage thereby loosing customers.

5. Benefits to the customers – Customers love to know what extra one can offer from others and why should they invest their money with us. So a webpage must highlight the benefits that he can avail being a customer to the website.
